Garment Labour Union has organised the protest at 5.30pm in front of the townhall on 27th of November 2019 against the order passed by Karnataka Government for providing permission to factories to employ women workers in the night shift before ensuring safe and secure working conditions and higher wages.
Many workers from different factories of Mysore Road and Peenya industrial area and few students from St.Joseph’s college has participated in the protest.
Rukmini, President of GLU, Dona from Vimochana, Varalakshmi, State President of CITU, Naganath, State General Secretary of HMS, Sunanda from CITU participated and showed their solidarity by raising voice against the order.
